car/Bus hire HELP?

I have a camping holiday booked for 24/07 in Cornwall for myself OH and 3 kids. My OH's eldest daughter and two kids have requested to join us but she doesn't drive.

This would now involve hiring 8 seater people carrier/minibus? :confused: plus space for camping equipment, maybe a roofrack?:confused:

Quotes seem to be about £300 for the week. Is there a cheaper way? (holiday has only cost £155)

unfortunately you are looking to book a popular vehicle in peak holiday season so it will be expensive - a standard MPV will not suffice for what you require. You will need to look at booking a fairly large minibus, even something like a VW Caravelle or Ford Transit Torneo will struggle for 8 people and associated luggage and camping equipment.

Not many firms will be able to supply roof racks for this type of vehicle and even less will equip the vehicle with a towbar to tow a trailer behind.
