just been browsing a website I normally buy from and notice they've got an offer on at the moment for free disks.

if you provide a link to their website on your website they'll send you a free pack of cds or dvds

I added their link to my website yesterday then emailed them with my details.
I got a package this morning delivered by Link which contained a spindle of 50
Datawrite Red 16x DVD-R Mach 4.
Fantastic, as I was running out of dvds but never expected to get 50 though.

Just an update today a nice Initial City Link man knocked on my door and presented me with a huge parcel which contained 25 DVDr's , 25 8cm DVDs for camcorder or to use as mini dvds and a few Dual layer discs - WELL HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well I got two dvd+r discs throught the post today from the single offer (which funnilly enough are the same as the 50 pk I asked for!) AND coz I was at work, I missed the city link delivery man who I assume tried to delivery me my spindle of dvds!! I have just phoned them to rearrange delivery!

Excellent find. I blagged a 100 pack of CD's by saying I'd recommended them to my Procurement department at work as I'm in IT (which I've done to be fair!). Also gave them the link to my GooglePages (Very basic pages too). Here's the reply...

I think thats a lame kind of excuse meaninig they have already have had too many requests as i and many others have used myspace. Thay have probably cought on to people using it and are stopping the freebie offer - thoughts?

I dont think that is the case because it seems that they are doing this to build their google page rank. I think they only want quality sites. I have also got a symilar response when submiting my hi5 page.


Also the myspace page might have been new so it is not on google.

HAHA i just checked their site, they have chnged it, now you have to amke sure that your site is indexed,

This means if your site returns results when searched on google eg:

Search MSE

Results:

1- Money saving expert........
2- Macedonian stock exchange
3- monetart saliva experts

And your site apperas in the results then it is indexed

This will be due to many of us using blogs and myspaces to take advantage, they only really want official websitres, but it doesnt mention what sort so presumably you could just set up a geocities or other free site on anyhthing, preferably on computers which may be what their looking for.
