All, anyone know how to get rail travel cheaper??

Best i can do for 14th July 8:16 returning 16th july 13:09 for eleven people is

£25.50 per person......

Can anyone offer a better solution/cheaper price/offer?

If you book the different trips as separate transactions then the 10:12 from Kirkcaldy has fares for £9.50. (departs Edinburgh 11:00)

For the return DON'T get the 13:09 as I suspect it goes via Carlisle. You can get the 13:10 from Newcastle for the same price though

Group of 10 or more can save up to 70% off the price of the Saver Return on Virgin Trains. The Saver RTN costs £50.50 so a group ticket rtn would cost about £15 each. However, this would only be valid on Virgin Trains so:
Out - @ 08.16 as you mentioned.
Back - @ 14.41
