Hello, thinking of buying a MG ZT CDTi 135, (Same as 75 shape) took one out for a test drive and thought it was a nice car, and spoted one on the autotrader im thinking about looking at, it's in that nice blue on a 53 reg.
What i'd like to know is are any any good?, never been much of a Rover person but i know these are manly BMW so that make it any good?
It has the 2.0 BMW Diesel Engine so no headgasket problems.
Also as they are no longer made will that be a problem with parts etc?.
The car is up for £7995 with 42k.

i little bird tells me some parts are getting difficult to get already for rovers, and depreciation will be very bad. look elsewhere.

i totally agree..better off looking elsewhere...yes the engine was what BMW used to use but the rest of it is still a rover so i'd stay well clear

O.k, cheers i was thinking the same, im really after a Mondeo TDCI 130 Zetec S but carn't find any at all in my area, like rocking horse poo.
Im after a roomy Sporty diesel for about £7000 - £8000 max, got any ideas?

Yeah great cars the Zetec S'

As you've said you'll need to travel to find one...I presume you've tried Autotrader and the Ford website?

Obviously not knowing your budget but a Mazda 6 diesel or the Honda Accord diesel are along the same lines.

Im looking to spend between £7k and £8k but less if i can, always been bought up around fords so i hadn't thought about honda or mazda, and yes i've been looking everywhere, but all are over 100 miles from me which is to far.

£7-8k prices out the Accord diesel then...need £11k+ for one of those.

Mazda 6 definately within budget and also maybe a Toyota Avensis?...both cracking cars..being Japanese they will be reliable and well equipped..if not quite such a good drive as the Mondeo.

Theres always the VAG stable....Passat, Octavia, Leon - (1.9TDI) damn good engines and the Octavia especially...very well equipped
