Obviously if they dont get payment in a years time you lose the name.

The next stage they offer to sell you some software but you can click "no thanks" and continue to the next stage.

If your requested name is unavailable you are offered a choice of variations or to try again. You can bet that the most attractive names have been taken up by evil cybersquatters who try to sell them on at an inflated price

I managed to get 45rpmvinyl.eu which is perfect for a site I am working on.
I tried previously for vinylmusic.eu since I alrerady own vinylmusic.co.uk
but its taken by a dutch squatter. When this happens theres nothing you can do about it

They have free phone number 24/7 and I found them very helpful.

Yes. I did explain that in my intro. but theres nothing stopping you from transferring it to another company. Some webhosts may be free or cheaper.
The main thing is you get to reserve your chosen name now and without payment. The longer you leave it the more chance of someone else takinhg it

So its first year free then you pay each year after just as you would anyway if you bought it to begin with

You could use a debit card as long as it has the visa symbol on it
