If you register on the orange website (you need an orange mobile number to do so) you receive 30 free texts a month to use via its online text facility. If you have had a number of orange contracts over the years (which I have) you can use each separate number to login thus increasing the number of free online texts you have available. I have about 6 numbers across the family = 180 texts a month. If you are near a pc it could save you alot of cash..!

I have a current Orange contract, plus an old simcard for an Orange no line rental contract, so I can get 60 free texts here - I didn't know this, so thanks to the OP - I was using Fonetastic which gives you 10 free texts via your PC per day, but the website is a nightmare compared to Orange, so that put me off using it, but this is much better. Thanks!
thank you. done it eventually! i am tired! i didn't think i knew my 4 digit code & the number it tells u to ring to find out doesn't give it, just lets u change if u know it. dh set phone up as was pressie - luckily i guessed he would use same numberas for something else! i couldn't see anything for free texts either - didn't realise it did it automatically when you register. i blame 4 month old baby for my vegetative brain state!

Yeah, me two a couple of years or so ago. I thought they had stopped this service, but it will come in useful as I don't have texts with my Orange contract.
is this just for contract mobiles on orange or pay as you go aswell?
Thanks

Goto email and organise link at the top, then send text messages link on the left.
If someone replies to the text message, does it come back to your phone?

Goto email and organise link at the top, then send text messages link on the left.
If someone replies to the text message, does it come back to your phone? No, they can't use reply, they must send a "fresh" message.

Orange just launched a new version of their website, i had a look around but couldn't find a way to send free texts anymore - have they stopped this service?
