Do you want your laundry clean, soft and fresh naturally?
Use soapnuts!
Environmentally friendly, sustainably produced, bio-degradable and compostable
I saw this posted on T&T two days ago. Never heard of Soapnuts before but after searching the net I noticed it has been around for a while. The product sounds incredible if it really works. I looked under Testimonials and it seems as if they give out free samples so I have contacted them for some. :rotfl:

Go to contact us and email them a request. Thats what I did.
I have been using these for over a year now on my daughters cloth nappies, you can use them until they go black which is more than the stated 2 or 3 times. As they are natural they contain no bleaches (which even non bio contains bleaching agent) so ocassionally I add ecover laundry bleach to brighten whites during the winter however sunshine is the best bleach and its free!
I live in a v. hard water area and they don't make things softer for me so don't expect too much from these.

I've used them and wasn't that impressed. Turned my cloth nappies yellow. I use Eco Balls instead which I find are much better with Ecover laundry bleach for tough stains.

All in all, both solutions will save you money though.

Would you like a 30-day trial? We realise that these are amazing claims to be making. For this reason, we’re more than happy to let you try Eco Balls for 30 days. If you don’t see the benefits, just return them to us and we’ll refund you in full for the cost of the item.
Wow - clean laundry for free ( well almost)

I tried to order a free sample and was told they don't do freebies anymore!! Will have to pay the £2.50 for a small bag!!

it says on the front page of their website -
For free samples please send a stamped self-addressed envelope to the address below. " just send them a SAE. It would amazingly bad CS to not honor this.

They have probably been overwhelmed by people from freebie sites asking for samples and have now changed it to a small charge.

They haven't got that offer for SAE on website anymore!!! They now talk about a 'sample bag' for £2.50 (I can't remember exactly how much).
got mine yesterday. Tried them today, but cant say I was too impressed. Had dribbled tangerine juice down my T shirt last night and it was still there after I did the laundry using the soapnuts. There was also marks left on another top. Used 8 shells, more than suggested in directions for use. So, sorry, they have all gone on the compost.

What a coincidence! My son's top also still had tangerine juice on it . They did manage to get lots of other muck and dirty marks off though so maybe they don't like citrus

I ordered some and am waiting on them arriving (Bought some to try, I like the idea........if they work and dont discolour my clothes) Will let you know what I think when they arrive.........I like the eco-friendly part as well as the moneysaving theory. I hope they're worth it xx

I changed my mind about using them when I saw what they looked like! I would have loved to have been converted to eco-washing but these are just not for me...
