View Full Version : Have You Got a Big Pair?

Of feet, that is!

Kate Winslet, Nicole Kidman , Paris Hilton and BBC's Kate Silverton all take a size 9 apparently.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/fashion/5652410/The-list-of-size-9-womens-shoe-stockists-is-bigger-than-you-think.html

I used to take a size 7 and a half. After losing a fair bit of weight, I went down a shoe size and can often even get into a size 6 now. Can't really get away with very cheap shoes, except for toe posts; they never seem to fit comfortably and I'm a bit fussier about looking after my feet now and making sure I don't get nasty lumps and bumps etc. Although I can get what I want from Next, Clarks (for work), River Island and Faith.

My feet are broadish and I think they look terrible in pumps, which I would like to wear, but never end up buying. Because I have to wear sensible boring flat shoes for work, I love to wear heels and high wedges, even though they make me really tall!!

My faves are a pair of summery high multi coloured wedges I bought a few years ago in Matalan and never wore til this year, when miraculously, they matched my entire summer wardrobe and I wore them to death for travelling and on holiday! I also love my pair of black soft stretchy knee high boots with pointy toe and spiky heels which are incredibly flattering!

Not really, I have irritatingly average size 4/5 feet depending on the shoe. My feet are however quite wide so my choice with cheap shoes comes down to whether I want my toes pinched to oblivion or the shoes to not stay on my feet!

I'm a size 4-5 and I have quite narrow feet. I would like to be a size 3 as shoes always look nicer in smaller sizes!!

I'm a 6.5 or a 7 so big 'uns for me, too! I'm a bit of a freak really as I'm a dress size 8 and 5'2" with really long hands and feet.
Can't say I have trouble with getting shoes to fit. I love TopShop for footwear and they are pretty generously sized. There's also an excellent ex-store returns stall on our local market and I can pick up funky pre-worn stuff for less than a tenner and 'cos it's been pre-worn the shoes are usually broken in so no horrid blisters.

Size 9 shoes for me, and they're very wide, so can normally only get shoes form evans

My mum buys me most of my shoes, as she knows how much of a pain it is for me to get them.

My plates are size 6 but as wide as a house so they look like flippers! Great for swimming but not for shoe buying. If i buy regular shoes my feet look like they want to explode out of them. :D

Not sure where they came from !

Most of my shoes come from Next. No one ever wants the size 8 shoes so I have my pickings in the sales its fabulous

My feet are such a pain, I couldn't even tell you what size I am as I tend to range from a 5 to a 7 and I am 5 feet5. I find shoes in Spain tend to be very narrow for what I would consider my average width by British standard feet. I have given up on pump shoes here because even if they are gaping at the ankle the toes are pinching. I do look at women's feet and most Spanish women have small feet and it is not unusual to find size 35's displayed before a size 39.

i have big feet, a size 10 and very wide, most of my shoes are from evans, but i stay clear of heels, as at 6foot 3 i'm tall enough.
my twin sons aged 14, both have size 15 feet and still growing

I have size 8 feet, and at 5'8 there not totally out of proportion!! I tend to wear heels quite a lot (albeit not particularly high ones), as I always think that I walk like a duck in flat shoes!!!!

I'm an 8 but my feet are really narrow, so finding shoes can be difficult. I've been a size 8 since I was 11, finding school shoes was an absolute nightmare. I used to cry and cry as I plodded around shops in horrific, canal-boat monstrosities!

I'm a size 9, sometimes a 10 depending on what sort of shoes and where they're from. Had very big feet since I hit my teens - my mum had a hellish time getting me school shoes, I'm just grateful that I wasn't born 20 years ago with no choice other than to wear mens shoes to school!

I do get terribly jealous of friends who can pick up a gorgeous pair of shoes in the sales for next to nothing. I find it hard to find shoes that fit well on a student budget. My one saving grace has been Priceless shoes - only last a season but it means I don't have to scrimp and save to get a pair.

I'm 5'9 but still wear heels, I just love them, and I do like being tall!

I'm a size 7 or 8 depending on the shop/brand. I'm only 5'4" so my feet are a bit disproportinate but I don't mind as I love shoes and I can almost always get these sizes in the sales....I have well over 100 pairs of shoes and boots and have only paid full price for a dozen or so pairs.

I'm a wide size 6 to 7 but often have to wear an 8 in normal width shoes. I do find it quite difficult to find comfy shoes. I am okay with toe post sandles if they're wide enough.

Im size 6.5 to 7 but I have extremely wide feet as I only wore trainers for years - my work shoes are men's Kickers, they're the only ones I could find that I liked and fit me properly.
My going out shoes are a pair of size 6 Schuh wedges that I absolutely adore, when I saw them I thought they would never fit but I was pleasantly surprised when they were a lovely fit - and so comfy!! I cant do cheap shoes though - they dont last me five minutes. My mate goes on that she wears cheap trainers and I shoulnt moan about being skint when Im buying name trainers (I have 2 pairs of Reeboks, one of which was over 40 quid) and a pair of Adidas ones, but I have to buy expensive ones as my feet are so bad I wouldnt make it out of the shop in cheap trainers!!!

I am a size 3.5 so can never buy in sale as most of the time it is either 3(too tight) or 4(loose)

And here's me thinking your were interested in the size of my bangers ;)

I was always a size 7 but depending on the width of the shoe sometimes it needed to be a size 8. However since having my DS I seem to be needing a size 8 on a regular basis.
I think I've just got big, wide plates of meat (and I am 5'6")
