View Full Version : What Do You Wear In Bed?

I go for the most MS option when it comes to actually getting into bed , although I do like soft cotton jersey PJ's for lounging. Last ones were from M&S and accidently paid far more than I would normally. Local market and Famous Names seconds shops are quite good for pj's here.

In winter, I snuggle in my Primark fleecy long dressing gown and M&S fluffy slippers. In the summer, and for hols and hospital, I have a cheap pair of cotton waffle mules I put away and a long white waffle cotton robe from M&S which is about 5 years old but I have started soaking it in Vanish and its like new again and nice and crisp looking!

I have a couple of soft cheapie bras, that don't give fantastic support but are comfortable and have pretty straps for lounging as bra-less is definitely NOT my best look:rotfl:

Since the big clear-out, I need new PJ's (that actually are the right size and colour this time!) for lounging and also something flattering for the boudoir IYKWIM! Sometime ago, I chucked out everything old and horrid, which has left me with next to nothing really, although I only want to replace it with the bare minimum!

What do you wear?

I've got a couple of PJ tops, from Tchibo that I wear when I get into bed, whilst I'm reading or surfing.

I have to take it off before I go to sleep or I wake up dripping in sweat _pale_

My dressing gown is a thick towelling one from a seconds shop, but it is looking past its best.

No emergency/holiday set, maybe I should keep an eye out

I do have a fancy nightie that I paid fortunes for about 20 years ago.....not worn it much, maybe I should see if it still fits ;)

Nothing! I have to sleep in the nude.

Same here, but I'm going to have to buy something as my new job requires me to sleep there!

Oh bronnie your timing is impeccable as usual. Been thinking for a while now that underwer/nightwear needs to be sorted.

I wear jersey pajamas to bed, although i do like the expensive ones!! the main reason i only own about 3 really tatty pairs. I have a jersey dressing gown (calvin klein, tk maxx) that i sling over whenever im around the house.

Underwear, well needs some sorting, i've got stuff well past it's used by date, but needs replacing all the same.

Will defo get to this in the next day or two so will report back!!

Nice to have you back, missed your lively threads!!

What I wear in bed - see: http://www.davidnieper.co.uk/short-sleeve-nightdresses/GB/1/filters/0/ST/SSND/

Their things are so well-made, such beautiful quality. I have this: http://www.davidnieper.co.uk/florentine-wrap/GB/1/055/GOWN/style/3282/

I've had it for about 15 years, it washes beautifully and it never looks a day older, colours unfaded etc.

I like nighties, I find La Senza are good quality and often have offers, the bigger the better as far as I'm concerned, peacocks is another fav, I have a short fleecy dressing gown from there that I love and I have big fluffy slippers in a boot shape from Tesco.

I have an odd habit of always wearing clean knickers to bed:Deven though I dont always wear them during the day;):rotfl:I can hear you all shouting 'too much information':rotfl:

Nothing, my room is too warm most of the year even with the windows open so I'd melt otherwise.

Only pants, because I have this fear, that if there's a fire and I have to rescue the family, and end up standing on the street, I couldn't bear for the fireman to be in any way distracted from putting out the flames!!!!

I have one pair of PJ's that my MIL bought me about 12 years ago, after I went to stay at her house, and she came in in the morning with a cuppa, and I was nearly scuddly .... she presented me with them later that same day!! I still wear them whenever we stay over at hers (although they're a lot tighter now than they were back then).

Perhaps next time I'll go scuddly again, and when she comes in, say .... "oh, I'm a size 14 now" (hee-hee-hee)

Depends whether or not I've got company... (I meant that in a 'when I'm visiting my boyfriend/he's visiting me' way, nothing else! *stops digging hole now*)

Normally, I'm a pyjamas type - I have sets ranging from a Primark set with a long sleeved top and long brushed cotton pants, an ancient George T shirt and shorts set, and a vest top and hotpants one my sister got me as a Christmas present when she lived in New Zealand and which only come out on holiday or when it's really hot. My current favourite though is a La Senza one with a green vest top and long soft grey pants with green polka dots on - yes it was expensive but I know I'll wear it to death.

In this weather - nothing.

Normal weather - usually just a t-shirt.

Very cold weather - t-shirt & jogging bottoms. Has to be extremely cold to wear these though, as the heat from my OH is normally enough to keep my legs warm!

I only possess one pair of PJs, which my mum gave me a few weeks ago because they were too small for her - they are great for wearing around the house in this weather as they are 3/4 length trousers and a vest top.

I love Hush for nightwear. It's a bit pricey but really good quality, stylish, and comfy. I bought the nightee recently and have practically lived in it - it's so comfy I change into it the minute I get home. Also love the stars PJs.

ceebeeby I loved that, it made me laugh, thinking of the firemen not being able to see you bits but having your bosingers on proud display :rotfl:
I'm the same, don't like to wear to much in bed, except for the winter when I go overboard.

If you buy something form M&S you can expect it to last about 12-15 years, it's great stuff.

It might be worth a trip to an outlet store?

I wear a pair of knickers or nothing (nothing usually when OH is here ;))

I wear thongs in the day so its nice to swap to normal kinckers for sleeping in I find! I also have to remember to put something on before I leave my room or risk scarring my flatmates :p

Nuffin...I have eczema and being too warm makes me itch more so it's more comfortable to sleep nude. And there's nothing like the fell of crisp cotton bed linen on bare skin...

I do keep a little cotton chemise style nightie close to hand though for similar reasons as stated above...if there's a fire and I have to exit in a hurry, I don't wanted to be landed with the bill for therapy for all the neighbours and firemen who've clocked me in the buff!

My perfume :). I do have nightclothes, but they are more for lounging in. I tend to keep a nighty at hand for popping out to the garden/field (I put animals in and let them out at unsocialble hours in summer while still a bit drowsy sometimes, its best not to go nude, I've been caught a few times, particularly by B and B's from the neighbouring farm house going on early walks!).

DH has two sets of pyjma bottoms which he wears with old t-shirts (ones with holes in etc) for the same job, I prefer a smarter nighty/pyjamas that I can wear to breakfast if we have people staying and feel glamourous

I have a few sets of pyjamas/loungewear from a Spanish high street chain called Women's Secret, that reminds me their sale start tomorrow:j. I am also a Marks and Spencer fan especially for their cotton stripy linen type pj bottoms that you can mix and match with different vests. When it gets really hot I wear pj shorts and coordinating vests. I also like Massimo Dutti loungewear/pyjamas and in the winter I like a nice cheapy fun flanelette set from Primark or two. I have loads of pyjamas.

I have to wear pj bottoms and socks, they are the bare minimum. I can't bear my legs being skin on skin. I usually wear a pj top/old tshirt but in this kind of weather we are having I'll sometimes go topless.

I cannot stand being without socks :o Day or night, summer or winter I have to wear socks. Only time I am ever without socks is when I shower :D
Everyone I know thinks I am well weird but I just can't stand my feet being bare.

I have got a couple of pyjama sets from asda for a fiver each!

They are thin cotton or polycotton - (not sure which but they are not sweaty!! lol) woven, like shirt material, and they have a traditional button through shirt, and drawstring pants - they are nice and comfy and cool- my favourite pair are pink with white stars on, I really like them for some reason!!

I sleep in the nude no matter what the weather is doing & only put a dressing gown on in emergencies !! - I get dressed before going downstairs though !
I love the freedom !

I have loads of PJ's - am addicted to buying them!!!

For weather like this, I have 2 vest top and three-quarter length pants sets - one is black with little pink hearts and the other has a white top with pink straps and 'Night Animal' printed on the front, with grey leopard-print bottoms (from Tesco, Mum bought them for me)
I also have lots of random mismatched tops and bottoms (old T-shirts and trackie bottoms mainly) and some nighties which I keep for when Im ill cos they get covered in Vicks Vapour Rub :rotfl:
My faves though are 2 top and leggings sets I got out of Simply Be - one is pink top and grey leggings with silver writing and one is blue striped with blue leggings and gold writing. My 'going away' pyjamas are an absolutely stunning ivory satin Chinese-style polka-dot pair. I also have a grey marl 'boxing robe' style dressing gown with hood and loads of pairs of fluffy socks - I adore them!

I wear a short t shirt style nightie when I am on my own, and nothing if I have been sexing. ;)

I feel better with something on ... my boobs seem to get everywhere if not! :p

I always keep a dressing gown nearby, due to being caught in a fire whilst working at Butlins when I was younger (not actually in the fire, a few chalets down). I ran out in just a far too small nightie, and had to spend three hours stood outside in nothing else. Think it made me develop a phobia! :o

Ohhh what an interesting thread!

I wear PJ's even in the heat as I hate being all sticky. I have to admit though my PJ's have seen better days, its just no-one else see's them and so I would rather spend my money of stuff that is seen.

It depends on whether OH is around - and the weather... Sometimes a silk slip nightie from La Senza, or a cotton jersey version from Tesco, cold weather means a T-shirt nightie and socks, and warm weather like this means nowt!

My ex would occasionally lean on one of my boobs! OUCH!

And the fire thing- when I was in halls at uni and the weekly 3am fire alarm went off I'm sure some of those girls got changed into sexy slinkies! There's me out there with thick dressing gown, long black coat and my DMs on and there's all these girls in little silky slips fawning over the fire men!

Am I the only MSE person that wears a nightshirt? One of those oversized t-shirt ones that comes to mid-thigh, and nice and loose for comfort.

I have a whole range of nightshirts, from brushed ones with long sleeves for the winter, to light silky ones for summer.

I can't wear PJs because I hate having anything on my legs at night - it makes me feel too resticted.

My favourite one has a teddy bear on the front, with a sewn-on sarong. The sarong lifts up so a nude teddy bear is displayed! Ahhh..........

I think the older I get, less attractive (I think, DH doesn't think so) the more I like the feminine nighties I discovered some years ago. http://www.davidnieper.co.uk/cosy-short-sleeve-nightdress/GB/1/055/SSND/style/0992/

This is so comfortable these hot sweaty nights - it's soft and it absorbs the perspiration. We all sweat during sleep.

I once looked after a lady who had MS and that's where I discovered David Nieper's product range. She said 'her body was so ugly, she liked to cover it up with the most feminine, lacy, beautifully-made nightwear'.

They are costly, but not like cheapo things that are badly-made and not designed to last. You get them in a box and the seamstresses and packers actually sign their names.

In the warmer months I tend to just where a pair of undies and I'm always kickin the cover/sheet over during the night so if I wore anything more..I might get too restless and might toss my husband out of bed LOL but in the colder months I usually wear a pair of lounge pants. It's all about the cuteness with my loungepants..from the pink skull bunnies to the Mr. Men ones hehe.
