Hope no-one minds, couldn't find a thread for today so started this one.
Today I'm wearing French Connection low back charcoal t-shirt (£12 sale). French Connection long flares (£34 sale) and will wear my white wedges.
I have an orange metalicy nairlvarnish on my toes.
I'm really dehydrated today as my pillow marks won't leave my face. I was a good girl last night and did a 1/2 hour core muscle workout (and nearly died!). I've still got a fair bit of catching up to do and will be starting 6 nights tomorrow so don't know when I can fit it in then.
I think one morning I will give it a try and see if it does keep me awake. If not then I'll do it before bed in the mornings.
Look forward to hearing some nice outfits ladies!

Was just looking out for this thread so thanks Kaz for starting it :D Have to sneak my posting in quick before I start working properly!
Well done on the exercise Kaz, I'm gym obsessed usually but keep having fits and starts at the moment and struggling to go :( Thankfully OH usually drags me there kicking and screaming!!
Today I'm wearing:
Topshop skirt in a stone colour - it's mid thigh and has cute little ruffles around the top and a belt made from the same material
Topshop black top with tie under bust - really getting wear out of this, great considering it cost me 99p in a charity shop!!
Black leggings from Gap, absolutely ancient, must've had them for 5 years but they keep their shape perfectly - my tip to anyone in the market for leggings is always Gap, I've had pairs from everywhere else imaginable and none compare
Shoes are the same black pumps with studs from Office as yesterday
Jewellery is the usual Monica Vinader necklace (never take this off - a gift from OH and I'm a bit sentimental about it!) & my Marc Jacobs heart/watch necklace, same gold vintage watch as usual and usual rings.
Bag is my LeSportsac :)
No jumper/coat today as it's meant to be scorching, woo hoo!
I love the skirt I'm wearing today but had totally forgotten about it til I started clearing out - think I'm getting toward a capsule now!
I'm in the office today then straight to the gym after and a lazy night at home with OH so will be wearing PJ's my 8pm :D
Have a lovely day everyone, looking forward to reading all about your outfits :)

Morning girls!
Today I am wearing floral linen skirt from Monsoon (£15 second hand from Ebay) and a red stretchy top . If I go out I will add white sandals and white leather bag I think.
Last night we were down at the sea having a drink and I saw a woman who looked beautiful! She was maybe late 50's or early 60's and had on white wide leg trousers, a red and white stripy top, red long-line cardi with short sleeves and red ballet pumps. Honestly, she looked amazing and I thought how refreshing it was to see an older woman not making the mistake of wearing dull , lifeless colours!
I really need to get a pedicure....hmmm, how to choose a beautician as I haven't used one since we moved here? I guess I'll just have to try one and see what she is like!
Kaz, your outfit sounds lovely! Have a good day whatever you're all up to ;)

ooo, can I join? I went through my wardrobe at the weekend, took half a ton of clothes to the dry cleaner- not very MSE but I did get a discount
I now have a capsule work wardrobe (not really got stuck into my casual clothes yet)- basics are now grey, black, dark purple.....
Today I am wearing:
grey pencil skirt (very snug, think I must have put on a couple of lbs!) from Oasis sale a few months ago £20.
black fine knit short sleeved jumper from FC about 5 years ago but fab quality as it has stayed in shape and retained colour.
black cardigan- DKNY- had for about 5 years and I wear it all the time and still get comments about it. Office is air conditioned to arctic conditions
skinny black belt- "borrowed" from my mother :D
black and white ballet pumps- Chanel (I have a serious shoe "thing", hence the username) these are just for dashing about the office, I have some super high heels for meetings hiding under my desk.
Accessories- just wedding and e-ring, forgot to put necklace and earrings on this morning!
Looking forward to all your outfits!

Morning folks....I was overtaken by a sudden urge to do some ironing before I went to work, so didn't get onto the PC! Thanks for starting us off Kaz - I don't think we'll be precious about who does it!
Today I'm wearing
Black linen wide leg trousers (Next clearance sale last year)
Black & white striped sleeveless top (Dotty P via charity shop)
Fine 3/4 sleeve black cardi (no label, can't remember as I've had it ages!)
Cream leather slip-ons (Asda)
See you later....x

Black and What? striped top? I'd love to know what you typed to have it blanked out like that Floss2!
I'm just checking out my ebay stuff and I'm up to £17.92. Then there's P&P on top. I'm so excited :j, the money can pay for the new wheel that we now need  after DH hit a pot hole in the blimmin road .
I tell you, I don't know why we bother paying road tax. Blimmin shysters, I bet they don't get their cars wrecked driving around the crummy roads cause they have chauffeurs

Can I join in? I'm wearing:
Black cotton wrapover top from Topshop (£7 in sale)
White cotton skirt with pink roses from New Look (£5 in sale)
Black sandals from New Look (£10 in sale)
Pink jewel necklace from Dunnes (£2 in sale)
Pink/purple bead bracelet from Oxfam (99p)
White and pink flowery bag from New Look (can't remember the price but I got it in the sale a couple of years ago)
I am such a sale addict (some might say cheapskate :D )! I never pay full price for anything since finding this site. :rotfl:
Edit to say: I want Phudge's outfit! And I am also v. curious to know what Floss2 is wearing...

A question for all you ladies who seem to have bagged some wonderful bargains- how do you manage it? Do you spend lots of time rummaging for the perfect item? I cannot stand sales, all the people, the mess and then the disappointment when your size is not there
Do you find out about the sales in advance so you can get there early? Do you spot things beforehand that you're going to go for? I must admit I am an online shopper, I don't have the time to get to the shops very often (and my OH is an awful shopping companion  ) and I sit at a desk all day so the temptation to internet shop is great.
And what about ebay and charity shops? I've had a look at ebay but it's so hard to know whether something is good quality or not....
After consulting this month's credit card statement  I need to become more MSE in my shopping.

My sale stuff from French Connection was bought online.
I can't think of anything worse than something like the next sale for example because it's heaving in there and I can't find anything. If I'm on a night shift then I'll go in there on my way home from work and buy a selection of the toiletries as they are good for gifts but nothing else really.
I've been looking at brandalley and ASOS for some other bits. After I bought my FC stuff in the sale, I did look at ebay. I bought a few things on there. Some weren't right and some was damaged (and I only noticed after I left feed back!). The majority of it is good stuff though.
I have found that ebay is much better now than it used to be at giving refunds so don't have as many qualms about buying and being stung by a difficult seller.

Have you contacted your local Council....?? When you get the wheel changed, ask the chap to write on the receipt "to replace damage caused by pothole" and then write to Highways with a copy of the receipt.

A......And what about ebay and charity shops? I've had a look at ebay but it's so hard to know whether something is good quality or not.....
I don't have as much time to rummage now, but tend to pop into the local charity shops if I have time.
I am an avid Ebayer - I tend to sell stuff, then buy more from the earnings :p
Next sale - I tend to go in on the 2nd day, and have a good rummage. I also go to the Clearance stores about 2 weeks beforehand, as they are then clearing their stock ready for unsold sale stock ;)

Vintage green elasticated waist belt with enamel leaf clasp (20p Car Boot)
Vinatge Fake pearl earrings in the shape of large bunches of grapes (Mum's from the 1970's)
Indian silver bangles and rings

I don't always post as some of my clothes don't sound that interesting but today I am wearing a green and white flowery patterned maxi type dress bought from Dash last year in their sale (I didn't even realise they were still going :o). Think it was about £25 and considering it was nearly £50 to begin with I don't mind paying that sort of money. I normally wear it with a cream crochet type cardi bought from Bon Marche at the same time but am slobbing at home so not bothering. No accessories (other than usual suspects of wedding/engagement/eternity ring, silver bracelet bought by my H for my 30th and my Kenneth Cole watch from my parents) as DD keeps tugging at my necklaces and since we're only at home I didn't see the point :o
Am lovin' the sun :D

I don't do rummaging! :D I have my fav shops (Topshop, New Look, H&M, Miss Selfridge, Oasis etc) which I visit during the season, mentally picking out the stuff I want. Then when sale time comes around, I go back in and can easily spot my items - voila! If I'm very organised I'll have tried them on beforehand so can just grab my size and run. With the very expensive shops (French Connection, Karen Millen etc) I wait till near the very end of the sale and then go - there are always nice things reduced to £10. Speaking of which, Oasis do the BEST end of sale reductions - I have lots of dresses, skirts, tops and scarves from there which cost £5.
Best things to buy in the sales: coats, shoes, handbags and underwear.
I go to various charity shops - as I live in the poshest area of my city the pickings are excellent! You get stuff from Benetton, Hobbs etc with the tags still on. I will visit these at lunchtime or on the way home, just a couple of minutes in each. Like I said, I'm not a great 'rummager' or I would get more bargains, but I do ok.
Rule no. 1: I never pay full price for anything (except in Primark :rotfl:).

Today I'm wearing:
- Joe Browns cream wrap dress with blue trim and pattern of swirls/flowers on it, about £25 a year ago
- White Zara spaghetti strap vest top, £8 about four years ago but has been worn to death under shirts and dresses that were just a bit too low to wear on their own
- White Next sandals that are dead ringers for Birkenstocks but only cost about £15
- Bronze coloured hairband (can't remember where I got it)
- Silver watch (21st birthday present from boyfriend), silver ring (18th birthday present from parents), silver and amber earrings (20th birthday present from boyfriend), silver initial necklace (Christmas present from parents about two years ago)
I'm intrigued as to how you guys get good capsule work wardrobes as I've just left uni so don't have a lot of 'worky' clothes and have spent the last week and a half of work experience cobbling together the incredibly little I have, with mixed results...

Afternoon all
Tara747 - I'm just the same and rarely pay full price unless it is Primark!!!!
I was reading my Mary Potas how to Shop book earlier on and have found I'm not a fashionista but a 'bargainista' :D buys all the stuff in the sale and finds the designer look a likes for less- thisis so me.
Anyway less of the waffling - this morning was work so it was-
M&S Autograph smart cream shorts - sale £9 (of course)
Black singlet F&F £2
White crop cardi M&S non sale:eek: last year
Same shoes as usual:rolleyes:
Than finished at lunch time so am now in
Primark combat knee length denim shorts £8
Gap flowery cotton vest - $2.99 - approx £1.50 last year:D in US
Black croc flip flops again bought in the US so cheaper than over here
Been out for a nice long walk in the sun
Enjoy the rest of the day ladies:j

Hi, good to see some new faces.
Today, I've been at work and I have a nasty habit of wiping my buttery/mayonnaisey hands on myself rather than my pinny
Stone/beige 3/4trousers from Next, same as yesterday ;)
Black scoop neck t-shirt from M&S £4
Black sandals, Hush Puppy.
I then wandered into town and had a mooch round the charity shops.
I found a lovely orange/pink chiffoney top from M&S Autograph £5.99 :D (PDSA Floss ;) )

Good evening ladies, not been able to get on today as i went to cheshire oaks, those who don't live in the north west, it's a designer outlet villiage. I bought a pair of shoes for ds1 and a pair of pajamas for myself. Had to be physically wrestled not to buy a gorgeous dress in karen millen, but i didn't buy it!!!!
Imelda, your colours are similar to mine, i love the mix of greys and purples.
Minerva, my capsule thread is knocking around on here somewhere with pics, may give you a few ideas.
Today i wore my maxi dress (but am now wandering if i look preggers in it, lol ) from peacocks and gladiators and lots of bangles. Very hot here today just been to my friends (it was her daughters birthday) and now fell a little tipsy, she makes you so welcome and you always come away well fed and watered!!!!
Am off to bed now with me new book 'style chic' by Paula reid, a fab book and i am really enjoying it, lots of tips on capsules and where to invest and where to buy cheap.
All sounding gorgeous today ladies xx

Have come to conclusion that my maxi dress does make me look slightly preggy. Not helped by the baby weight still hanging around my upper midriff :(
I love this dress but I don't feel great in it. I bought it last year after giving birth 6 weeks prior (yep that's how long it took me to get back into my pre pregnancy clothes not sure how I managed that one) so anything felt better but 11 months on I don't feel the same way......

From my mooch along the street of many charity shops  I did think that PDSA was one of the best.
The stock was well arranged and priced to match the garment.
It amazed me how many of the shops were selling the M&S T-shirts (the ones at 2 for £8 in M&S) at £3.50 or more.
And as for the white T-shirts with huge yellow sweat/deodorant stains _pale_

Sharron & Bitsy, I've steered clear of the maxi dresses for the whole pregnancy look reason.
I personally feel that you have to be either skinny or larger to carry them off.
My 14/16 size frame, pear shaped at that, doesn't look good :(
 now if I had boobs to match my hips, I'd be quids in :rotfl:

Noooooooooo, if you have big boobs they spill out the sides of the triangles which pass for the 'top' of a maxi dress!
You would look fab in one I am sure. :A
