I never wear foundation, but fancy trying a tinted moisturiser. Any recommendations? I don't want to pay a fortune, but am looking for a decent one that is ok on sensitive skin & dosen't clog the pores.

Benefit You Rebel, or You Rebel lite depending on your skin tone. About £20 a tube. Lasts ages. Good coverage and doesn't block pores and the added bonus of SPF.
I've also tried the Virgin Vie one which was 'OK' but not as good as the Benefit.

It's not cheap but Laura Mercier Illuminating tinted moisturiser is one of my all time favourites. I have extremely reactive, sensitive skin and it agrees with me. It goes on like a dream and gives your skin a nice dewy appearance without being heavy or clogging. It is about £32 per tube but I use it every day and a tube lasts me about 4-5 months.

Really depends on your ethnic/racial group. Pasty Celtic and Viking faces have the devil of a job getting anything whatsoever that doesn't look tangoed. The palest I have found have been by Clinique. Yellow tinted/European/Mediterranean can go pretty much most places.
I suspect that, as you have sensitive skin, you are more likely to be in the pale and interesting group. I've never tried as I tend not to use it - using a long acting sun block from Denmark is more important to me or I fry - but Jelly Bon Bon are supposed to be good for the real red heads out there.

Thanks for the recommendations. Bit dubious about benefit products. My skin had a really bad reaction to one of their products, so I'm abit wary about trying this range again.

I have No.17 from boots, in ivory and its fine.
But was at a Bodyshop party at the weekend. The lady used a tinted moisturiser on the girl who was having the "make over" and it did a really good job. Evened out her skin town and gave a really nice finish.
Only comes in one shade - which is supposed to fit all. And all their stuff is supposed to be dermatogically tested.
Can't see it on their website, but remember is was £8.80.
Would have bought one myself, if i didn't already have a stock of foundations and tinted moisturiser. And i am from the pale and interesting skin group.

I use this but I've never noticed any difference in the shade of my skin. It has a SPF of 15.
I've used Boots No 7 but found it caked my face like foundation, I didn't like it.

I like Estee Lauder tinted daywear or M&S Autograph. No orange at all.

Another vote for Laura Mercier! I have the oil free tinted moisturiser in the lightest shade.

Could it have been the Vitamin E one? I've used that and its lovely. My daughter has had a few make overs in the Body Shop stores and they do tend to use that one, on my daughter anyway.

I like the Tesco Skin Wisdom one - it's about £5 or so.
I recently bought one from Boots Natural Collection range, which was £2 and is fine (only tried it once so far though).
I also have sensitive skin and I am quite fair.

i bought the tesco skin wisdom one and was really disappointed, it gave me no coverage at all and i looked like i had nothing on. i've used the no7 one that came free in one of their free gifts recently and that was good but a little dark for me. the body shop one is brilliant, gives really good coverage!

There are two shades in the Olay, I picked up the darkest one by mistake but actually it looks ok, I am blonde with green eyes and I have a bit of a tan here and there, a few people have asked me if I have been on holiday since I started using it, you have to blend and rub into jawline though
for £1.99 its a steal

Just remembered Nivea Visage tinted moisturiser is also good, I used to use it years ago and someone asked me if I had been on holiday, above post just reminded me of this.

Nivea is a good one its not quite as shiny as most and gives decent coverage, you could treat yourself to a foundation and you can mix this with moisturiser yourself to make your own that way hopefully you will get the colour/texture you want and have some foundation if you ever fancy that, very mse 2 for 1:rotfl:you can also mix the foundation with a specific highlighter or primer to customise your product to suit your skin, I do this a lot with EL Doublewear and EL Spotlight I vary the amounts according to how my skin is behaving, also this is a good option if you have sensitive skin as you would still be using moisturiser that agrees with you - hth:)

Just thought of something else you could try as well how about mixing some mineral make up with moisturiser I have done this myself and it gives a very light long lasting coverage. Lots of people on here like Elemental Beauty, I thought it was ok but not great I prefer Lily Lolo or if you don't want to buy online Rimmell do a nice talc free one but it does have a shine to it:)

B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful (sister company to Lush, more make-up/perfume rather than bath/skincare things) do a tinted moisturiser in a variety of shades for a little under £20. I've got sensitive skin and found it really nice - didn't make my super-pale skin look orange, gave a nice coverage but wasn't heavy, and lasted me for ages (I bought mine in July 2008 and still had it as of August this year, and wore it most days).
The only things are it doesn't have SPF in it, has a bit of a tendency to melt in the heat so you might need primer, and B only have a few shops so unless you're in London, Leeds or Poole/Bournemouth (or you can get there) it might be difficult if you like to try before you buy. But it's not a bad buy overall.
