how do you go about finding an nhs dentist? i've recently had a baby so i should be entitled to one until he is a year old but i have no idea how to find one! i've heard about special days you can join, does this still apply if you are a nhs customer?

You are entitled to see a dentist irrespective of whether you have a baby!
This (http://www.nhs.uk/servicedirectories/Pages/serviceSearch.aspx) is a good starting point, or you can ring your local PCT.

dmg24 is right. Your local Primary Care Trust is the place that controls the access to NHS dentistry. Some are more organised than others though.
