Can you use cellulose thinners on a cloth to rub on car exterior paint for marks and scratches .

If you are very careful.
Try it somewhere out of sight first to gauge the paint reaction. In the spare wheel well or behind some trim is favourite.

Personally I wouldnt - try polishing them out.

cellulose wont touch original oven baked factory paint at all
it may /will effect and ruin cheapie paint jobs or aerosol jobs

T cut/similar stuff will remove scratches etc. Thinners will leave rub marks. You could get thinners mixed with panel wipe, thats a bit more gentle...
