A possible way to get freebies

Not a freebie but might be an interesting way of getting some freebies. If not, an interesting read. A guy took the address of 100 products and sent a letter to each one asking for freebies (apparently postage cost him $39).

when my ex hubby (forces) was in iraq and bosnia, him and his mates all use 2 do the same and write 2 companies asking for freebies, they actually got loads back and sometimes even gift packs would arrive or say 20 tubes of toothpaste to pass round 2 every one.
So id say give it a shot and fingers crossed to those who try

I emailed a few companies about freebies... most got negative responces, but i got stuff from wkd and guiness so it's worth a shot emailin companies.

Ummm, I just inquired as to whether they had any free promotional stuff that they'd send me. WKD sent me some pens, a bottle opener and some light up things, guiness sent me a magnet and some beer mat things, I cant at this exact moment remember any other positive responces but will edit this post if i find some, as for companies that gave me negative responces, cadburies, nestle, coke, pepsi, nintendo(told me i could buy there official magazine and get stickers... excuse me that's not free:P) so i doubt there likely to send stuff to other ppl but it might be worth a try.

EDIT: I think all the other companies I emailed either gave me negative responces or didn't respond
EDIT 2: I think one of my friends who I gave the idea too might have had some success with other companies however and will check if he decides to come online at some point...

EDIT: Having spoken to my friend he got stuff from Badger (a book, beer mats, recipe cards and a bottle opener) and fullers offered him to go round there brewery for free. I would also like to take this moment to add that just because all the freebies we've both recieved this way are alcohol related doesnt mean anything... much
