Getting too Edinburgh on Friday cheaply from peterborough...?

Help!!

I should have booked tickets earlier - cheapest i can find now is £102 and have tried split ticketing with no success :confused:

Have you tried getting on at a Virgin station. Maybe Rugby, Milton Keynes? Virgin are a lot cheaper mostly than National Express East Coast who run trains between Peterbough and Edinburgh. I travelled first class with Virgin for half the standard fare on East Coast.
Also you may be able to travel on Virgin trains part of the route through megabus.com for a lot cheaper if you check their website. Just remember to search trains only and remember some trains cost more than the standard fare if all the other megatrain tickets have gone.
