Original wheels have at some point been replaced with alloys that may be the wrong size for the car.
How would we find out what should be on the car? The handbook talks of a sticker area on the door with this information but needless to say, sticker is no longer there.
Car is a Peugeot 106 '52 plate.

Would suggesting you ring a Peugeot dealer be a stupid idea?

The parts dept in the one beside us is closed today so I assumed I wouldn't get much info on a May Day hol.

Usually the hand book will have a page detailing the tyre pressures for the different tyre sizes available for your car. You can work back from there to get the correct wheel size. There will probably be several different sizes but all should fit if they are in the book.
As already said, the Pug dealer can probably advise further.

Thanks everyone. Turns out the recorded message answer thing had been flicked on in error and dept was actually open.
Anyway it seems we need 14 inch wheels and even for bog standard steel jobs they are costing £185 without tyres. Going to have a look at scrap yards for wheels first I think..
