Apparently, if you go into any Starbucks in December, you can request a free 50g bag of Christmas cofee. I haven't tried this yet but it is probably worth a go because it is rather tasty stuff! :o

Yep, just checked their website and if you ask a Barista for a sample bag, you'll get one. Stocks permitting of course.

Ah found it. It's tucked away pretty good. Yep, go into the lounge, then "20 years of Starbucks" and then flick to page 2. You will find it there.

Went into my local Starbucks today and asked for a sample of Christmas coffee.
Got both a little (3 or 4 mouthful sized) tester of the coffee to try there and a small bag to take home.
Thanks to OP for this one, it looks like it's a good one.

I tried it in Manchester today. Hits at Oxford Road, Corn Exchange and Piccadilly Station. Misses (all gone) at Albert Square and the one behind the library.

Pre-ground only :( so I gave two packs away at work and took one home. Not bad at the price, but I wouldn't buy it and I won't repeat the exercise. Maybe the beans are better.

Got some in Sutton in Surrey today. Went in with my sister, and had a bit of trouble explaining what we wanted, as the three girls behind the counter each seemed to come from a different European country, with assorted accents, and it was noisy and busy in there, but we got there in the end.

They said they didn't have any samples ready prepared, but ground us a little bagful while we waited. Went home and had very fresh coffee. Quite nice, and quite a lot of coffee really. Enough for several cups made in a cafetiere. They asked us how we wanted it ground, too - fine or medium.

Good freebie! :)

Visited a small Starbucks that's part of a local Sainsbury's in Staines. Guy behind the counter didn't have a clue, but offered me a thimbleful of coffee whilst he checked with the manager.

Returned with a huge foil pack of beans which he dispensed a few handfulls into the grinder and decanted as much as would fit in to a paper bag. Probably ended up with 300g+ of the stuff.

Tried it in my Krups machine, and TBH not that impressed, so will probably seal the rest in tupperware in the fridge and use it to brew coffee for the less loved christmas visitors!

Went to Meadowhell following this post and the Per Una and called at both Starbucks.

Came away with samples of Verona, Columbian, Kenyan and some Decaf for the missus. Not a bad afternoon out - apart from from being at Meadowhell.

Thanks for that, don't know if I'll get to Starbucks, but hadn't sent a couple of Christmas cards so was able to send e-mail ones via the site (to switzerland), great stuff and no stamp required
