My husband travels from Bristol Temple Meads to Parkway or Patchway every week day, which costs £3.80 return. Does anyone know if there is a cheaper way to do it?

Not sure of the price but a weekly will be better, but he will need to get a photcard made up at the train station. so will need one passport size photo.

A monthly season is £64.90 between Temple Meads and Parkway. Not sure if it's also valid at Patchway or not

The monthly ticket would save 3 train fares a month, as DH works from home or works abroad sometimes he doesnt think its worth the monthly pass. I was just wondering if there was another work around, but probably not.

Parkway costs £3.10 return off peak or £3.70 anytime.
Patchway costs £3.80 anytime (no off-peak available).

If he could travel at different times to Parkway then you could save 70p.

He only uses Parkway if the Patchway train is cancelled. Didnt know it was a different price though.

is he travelling at peak times? could he travel offpeak to save some money?

have you looked to see whether split ticketing is cheaper? (buying two singles instead of a return for example).

do you save much by booking in advance? did you know that you can get cashback for thetrainline on quidco? (think there is a minimum spend though).

On some trains, it is the next stop. I can't find any splits that are cheaper (tried Lawrence Hill and Filton Abbeywood).

Advance tickets aren't available for this journey.
