Hi,

Can anyone recommend a soft toothbrush for sensitive teeth and gums? Thanks

Sensodyne do a sensitive range which are pretty good. Have you seen a dentist though recently?

If the sensitivity is due to a build up of cack, then the last thing you need is an overly gentle toothbrush!

Very soft toothbrushes are only really good if the sensitivity is due to brushing too hard, and if it is, you'll go through those toothbrushes at a rate of knots!!

I always brush my teeth very hard. Not that it does any good im sure! I'm just paranoid that plaque is very sticky stuff and wont coem off if your not rough with it. I als now have electric toothbrush which i love but I just can not get out of the habit of scrubbing with that too!

Change to a toothbrush that cuts out if pressed too hard, or flips back.. Let the electric brush do the work for you and just hold it against your teeth. Brushing too hard will ruin your teeth. Years of over scrubbing mine has them loose and sensitive with severe receding gums and loss of dentine in areas. Im a lot better now I use the flip back brush but if I use a manual brush Im back scrubbing

Phillips sonicare are great, soft on the gums yet really cleans the teeth, with that dentist clean feel, (it was invented by dentists)

Expensive though and works differently from standard toothbrushes or electric toothbrushes so check out reviews on Amazon to make sure it could be right for you before splashing out.

Also every now and then deals do appear on sonicare which are worth watching out for. I highly recommend it.
