Got to say that's a good way to use those free sims...
I'm wary of the royalty situation so I generally buy stuff I already have on vinyl to assuage my guilt. If what you're after is cheap (or free in your case!) music then this is the place to go!
If you register with the site they give you $0.2 credit enough for a few songs. tried it works fine good quality too!
Can't see anywhere that you can use phone credit on that site though...
Help, anyone?

Say that you want the Arctic Monkeys one.
Click on the 'Title' of the download that you want
Click on Instant SMS purchase just under where it says order this album
it says Send a text ALLOFMP3 to 78889 BUT I have been sending it to the old number which is 60999 as the new one wasn't working properly and you had to email them to get a code
*** Perhaps someone else could confirm if the new number is working fine or not now?
When you get your code which will only take a few seconds to receive then put it in the box and click on download the album.

:) Does this still work? I can't see the Instant SMS thing next to any of the albums. TIA.
Nope, they seem to have stopped that. That's a shame

Looks like "order by SMS" is now back :j and they've switched back to using the old 60999 number.
They still say it should cost you £2 but it actually cost me £2.50 from one of the free Virgin SIMs - still, in theory you should be able to get two albums worth with your £5 free credit (unless you did as I did and texted Virgin to enter their competition, thereby depleting your balance by 3p so you don't have enough calling credit to order a second album)
At least they appear to have fixed the "bug" whereby you had to text them twice to order your album and it end up costing about £3.20 if I remember correctly.
Time to dig out all those free Virgin SIMs and put them to use. ;)

Yep, fair do's - I see you have now removed the link to the site posted earlier in this thread. To be honest, I was surprised it remained for so long. I guess I'm partly responsible for it's removal for updating the thread and bumping up the post. The site is fairly widely known about, but apologies to those of you who don't know what we're talking about.
.... and now I'll shut up before I get into trouble for speaking of the taboo. :silenced:
