A close relative is returning to the UK from abroad to save some money...euro!!..say no more.
Anyway, he is bringing back a 10 year old foreign plated (Cyprus) car in a storage container which he plans to register and use here in the UK.
I have been checking up things on his behalf and have info re HMRC etc, however I am stumped as to how it is possible to register with DVLA when you have to provide an insurance certificate for the vehicle. It is my understanding that Uk insurance can only be issued to vehicles bearing DVLA registration plates.
Anyone had experience of this that can point me in the right direction.?
