I have never had problems before but have just stated getting very watery eyes and red patches on my eye lids when wearing make up.
i use good quality stuff and dont have promlems with cleanser/moisturizer.
can anyone reccomend any products /company that i could try, not bothered if it is expensive as long as my eyes dont water. thanks for any help.
Hello fishing-girl
Could your problem be due to cosmetics that are more than a few months old? If your usual method is to use eye shadow until the container is empty but you have lots of them, you might not realise how old each one is.
I remember reading that you shouldn't continue to use a mascara after it's been opened..............if it's more than three months old.
My tip is to mark your cosmetic containers with either a marker pen or tiny sticky label with the date first opened.;)
If non of these apply to you, you'd probably be better off with products from the Almay range, which are formulated for sensitive skin.
Kind Regards

I have that problem sometimes when wearing contacts, have you tried mac or benefit products, they're great. Also, my optician told me that metallic eyeshadows are more prone to irritate the eye and surrounding areas.Dermalogica and Dr Hauschka skincare are great to calm angry eyes!!

Many, many years ago i had the exact same problem, my eyes and around my eyes would become, dry and sore every weekend, and it was all down to the make up i was using. My doctor gave me hydrocortison cream to help. I changed to Almay, and by a process of elimination, found that products containing lanolin would give me more problems!!!

I also suddenly started getting a reaction to lanolin, especially around my eyes, which would be really sore every morning and whenever using eye cream etc. I changed to Clinique skincare and makeup, which I love, and I've had no problems since. I will probably never change back now, as my skin is better than I can ever remember.

I recently was looking on the internet at a company called Burts Bees - they sell cosmetics, which I think are almost 'natural' - like 99%, they don't sell them in the uk, but u can order them on the internet.
