Sorry peeps, but unfortunately, you have to sign up to just about EVERYTHING just to gain 1 pixie stick, which makes me laugh as there is no option which I can see on the site to actually claim them!!

plus, you get spam mail flying at ya in all directions.

Shame really.

I agree with poppymop. It sounds so good but sadly all I ever got was spam and no sweets. :)

Hi

I joined Sweetcollect a couple of months ago, and have just had my first package of sweets - six or seven different items including full size packets of smarties and poppets.

Have to say, they do send you a lot of mail (maybe one every couple of days) but they are all messages offering ways of collecting more sweets which you can take up or not (kind of like MutualPoints reward mails, if anybody gets those). Certainly haven't noticed the (huge) amount of spam I get every day increasing since joining Sweet Collect, and am v pleased since getting my first parcel.

I joined Sweetcollect and do get lots of junk mail, but I've also had twopackages of sweeties so far which have been OK. First time I've had pisie sticks in years!

You get what they say but they do take a long to come. Nice surprise when they do arrive though.

I've had a fair few sweets with them, one way to get more for little extra effort is if an offer for example says get free smarties and instead they send you a dairymilk ring them and say you're not happy with the replacement, they will add another tube of smarties to your list, and if they don't send it in the next package complain again! Think I managed this about 3 times until they eventually sent me the things I wanted - got plenty of free sweets in the meantime!

Now back to my diet ... ...

Fat Boy.

I've never had a problem with them either, all the mails from them are clearly marked so thats not a problem, the last package I got from them was just under a week after halloween, I'd just finished the sweets from trick or treating lol but I enjoyed them.

Ive just had sweets delivered from last october after having to email them 3 times.

You will get your sweets but be prepared to wait.

You also gets lots of emails from them wanting you to sign up for stuff to earn sweets. Ok for the kids, but use a junk email address.

I have come to the conclusion its really not worth the effort

i signed up with them, get loads of emails, do a survey and get sweets etc, but have never recieved any sweets, do you have to wait till youve got so many?

juno
12-03-2006, 12:50 PM
You need 25 or more before your list goes into the queue to be picked. It does take a while, but it is getting faster. And the offers where you get multiple sweets for just doing one thing count for as many individual sweets. Like if you do an offer and get 10 pixie stix it counts as 10 towards the 25.

Ease up, no-one's being malicious - no doubt you would get the same response if you posted the same offer, good or bad twice within a few minutes, and you'd learn out of it if you were new - wouldn't you?

A. Sorry but this site is nothing more than an invitation to fill your inbox with junk and
B. You posted it in the same forum less than 4 minutes ago
Seems like a fair response to me. No-one said, hey you, new person, aren't you really stupid and get lost!
Welcome Saverchelle, you'll get used to this, just try not to post the same things twice!

I've received a few parcels of sweets from them and alot of the offers are just signing up for stuff, it's really easy to set up an email account just for sweet collect and go in once a week and clean it out, thats what I do and it works really well.
Also welcome to the board, don't mind those people they must be just all on diets. :-)

I actually got a bag full of sweets from these - but it took me over a year - and they weren't the 'brand' name stuff they advertised - they had 'run out and replaced' - I mainly got those sherbert straw things.

was a waste of my time

Anything where you just click for rewards is going to send you out spam though isn't it?

I joined them yesterday and have 32 sweets pending from just daily clicks(no sign ups),they say the offers are pending for 45 days .Its just like points for clicks elsewhere.

I shall keep an eye on them and keep emailing if they dont honour their own rules though.

Simply never use your 'normal' email address if spam emails are so offensive to you! Thats what I always do when I sign up for offers. Set up another one. The sweets do take ages and ages to arrive (my current batch are expected to be delivered in May 2008!!!!) but they do turn up. I have had 5 HUGE boxes since I signed up a few years ago and have been delighted! Just do the 'Daily Clicks' each day, which soon add up, and you're on your way! Best thing to do is just forget about them and then be delighted when the 'your sweets have been dispatched' email comes though! Good luck xxx

I got this e-mail today;

"SweetCollect UK has been acquired by another company who will be annouced very soon.
The SweetCollect UK website will close on Thursday August 6th at 3pm. At this time you will no longer be able to login to the website or to take up any offers.
On Friday August 7th your account will be transferred to the new website, where you will not only be able to earn Sweets as rewards, but also heaps of other fantastic rewards!

If you have less than 25 items of your account then you will need to earn at least 25 items before 3pm on Thursday August 6th, as you will lose any sweets earned at this time if you have less than 25.

If you have any problems with offers you have completed going into the not-completed section then just drop a quick email to someone in our support team.

No more picking lists will be generated now until after 3pm on Thursday August 6th, so all the sweets you earn between now and then will be sent in one go.

There are heaps of great offers on the website, there is even a great offer on the website where you can receive 25 FREE Pixie Sticks for 30 seconds of your time, that will ensure that you receive a package from us before the site is transferred to the new management.
Login to http://www.sweetcollect.co.uk (http://www.sweetcollect.co.uk/) then click on ENTER VOUCHER CODE, and enter the code: 25sweets"

What do you make of that!? It's the 26th of August now :/
