I'm looking to buy a few eyeshadows. I usually buy Boots 17 eyeshadow because they are fairly cheap :) Anyway, I know cheap doesn't necessarily mean best value for money as you probably end up using more of the product compared to an expensive brand. So...recommendations please :) What is your favourite eyeshadow brand and do you feel it's value for money.

Thanks.

Hey!

I use virgin and famous by sue moxley, Both are excellent. I would recommend anyone to invest in them, they look expensive but go for the colour palettes as they work out the best value if you wanted to try them. The colours are amazing and they wear really well.

Good Luck

PS forgot to add that its usually cheaper to buy virgin ones on ebay brand new but you get them for 50% less and dont forget quidco or pigsback if your going to try ebay!

i bought the no17 ones too, while they were on promotion, mainly because i wanted to try a few new colours, but i too have noticed that you need to use a lot to get a good application of colour, or they don't stay on the skin long enough.
i'm afraid i can only really compare them to Bourjois - which i have found apply well, and lasts on the skin longer, but best of all would have to be the clinique range. I have never bought a clinique eyeshadow as i have plenty from bonus times over the years, but a little goes along way and you can build up the colour intensity, it lasts at least 8 hours on me if - longer than the others.
hth.

MAC. Without a doubt the best eyeshadows ever.

The one I use as eyeliner every day lasted me more than 4 and a half years! I only ever have to apply it once a day and it looks as good when I remove it as it did when first applied!

Have tried Bourjois etc. Nothing has been as good as MAC.

They cost about £9.75 each but for 4.5 years I'd say that was pretty good value!

They have about a million colours too. You can often find them cheaper on ebay etc ;)

Urban Decay are the only ones I have ever used that have lasted all day - I love them. They're not cheap, about £10-£11 per little pot but the colours are just gorgeous! Well worth the money

Chanel or Dior if you have the money!

Otherwise, Urban Decay is very very good quality. Amazing colours, lasts for ages. I use these nearly every day. They are not cheap individually but I use the palettes which work out very good value. I have the silver one with a skull on it and it's going strong after 2 years of constant use. You get nine for about 20 pounds and if you consider each full size one is about 9-11 pounds, it'd really quite good value

For an even better finish and hold I use this as well http://www.urbandecay.com/categories/EyeshadowPrimerPotion.cfm

I can wholeheartedly reccommend the eyeliner too - creamy and bold and no smudging. Better than Elizabeth Arden or Lancome. http://www.urbandecay.com/categories/247EyePencil.cfm

Buy from a big Boots store - look out for offers. Every now and again they do 3 or 2 or buy 2 products get 500 points etc

Again, pricey but I treated myself to a Lancome duo for my wedding last year and it's brilliant. Stays on all day and the colours are lovely. The colour goes on the colour it looks in the pot.

I also think Bourjois are good if your on more of a budget - especially their pearly shades - they seem to come out really well.

Have fun choosing :)

I use, and love!, Go Cosmetics - usually buy from eBay so probably pay a little extra but saves me having to go into town - I'm not a big shopping fan :o
