i am a single mother of 3 children on benefits and i am desperate to go back to work but as i live in a remote village i keep being turned down dur to not having own transport can i get help from anywhere due to my circumstances and benefits to get driving.

I doubt it. But have you asked at the benefits office perhaps it could be classified as training? So much for our much vaunted public transport system that they go on about. Really falls apart when you get to a rural location.

tell me about it i found a perfect job good hours good wage and all thats let me down is not driving

Sounds like learning to drive will be a good investment on your part then.

It didn't take that long or cost too much if you are reasonably competant.

Maybe get yourself on one of those 1 week intensive courses with a test at the end of it.

Ask in the benefits section, I'm sure it has been mentioned somewhere that someone had received cash to pay for some driving lessons. My guess is the Job Centre probably has a stash of cash and if they think throwing it someone's way will make one less of the unemployed statistics they're all for it. No doubt the Job centre is the best place to ask. I'm sure if you say you keep getting rejected for jobs because you can't drive (rather than asking for money for driving lessons) if they are able to help they will.

Is moving house not an option? If your house is a council house you may be able to arrange a swap somehow.
