Shared Car parking spaces

Right heres one for ya.

in my little close there is a comunal car park, private land, we all own a bit each with our house. On the deeds it clearly states which is my car parking space.
It is quite a good one quite close to the house, therefore a lot ofpeople have been parking in it.

Me & my nextdoor neighbour put up a sign politley saying parking for number xx only please.

This has been up for 2 days, last night they were both removed and someone parked in the neighbours space.

Is there any legal rights I have over this, it is quite frustrating!!!

If it is legally your space and you have paid for it then you should have the exclusive right to use it. Obviously the Police won't be interested as it's a civil offence rather than a criminal one (unless there's any damage or similar).
A wheel-clamping firm would have your arm off for the contract. You could make a bit of cash too ;) This is assuming that you don't know who's parking there in which case you'd need a quiet word first.

Or get one of those 'car-bar' sticks that lock into the ground to stop people using the space when there's no vehicle in it.

These might be of interest. If these parking spaces are yours and are on the deeds then they are a valuable asset which will help you when you sell your home.

Also when you come back from work etc, it's always nice to know you have your own space.

If it says on the deeds which space is yours then paint on the ground the number of the house as well as putting the notice on the wall!

The paint will take some removing off the ground!! Also print an official looking (or any old looking notice) saying that any unautharised cars parking in the space will be clamped and a removal fee charged (with the proceeds the charity!)

yeah i told him its on the deeds, i asked if he was the home owner, which he is, so i said he will probbaly have is own allocated space, which he should start to use.

I wont shy away from having a word with people, if you dont ask you dont get do ya!!!

True, and I guess he may not have realised that he had a specific space allocated to him and he will now be able to find out which is his space!

We live in a similar situation - 10 houses and a communal parking area for 10 cars, plus plenty of space on a wide quiet road. On the deeds the car park is owned by three of the houses as strips in front of their houses, but all the owners have a 'right of egress' on the land, which I believe means we may use it temporarily.
Common sense prevails - everyone parks where-ever there's a free spot. One woman put up a sign on hers and blocked others in. We all used to smile politely and roll our eyes at each other... she's moved now...
