Fiat Seicento citymatic conversion

This is a special problem, but well known to citymatic owners. I've seen on the internet it's possible to convert a citymatic that usually has problems with the actuator, a mechanism that controls the clutch, into a manual operation. A guy in Bristol apparently does the conversion, but we can't afford the time/expense travelling there. Does anybody know anyone who does this in the midlands??

Has anybody had help from Fiat in making the conversion??
