Hi

I am thinking of leasing a Nissan Qashqai over 2 years and have looked at both Easy Car Finance and Lingscars. Both offer the same price per month give or take a £ and both 3 + 23 but Easy Car offers the chance to buy at the end and Lingscars does not.

Anyone got any advice for me please or anyone used any of these websites before? Any help would be appreciated!

Never heard of Easy Car finance b4. Lings cars is pretty well known, she has been posting on here recently. Essentially a one woman band but shes good at what she does.

It depends how likely you are likely to buy the car at the end of the agreement. If its a possibility then go easy car. If not then go Lings.

Thanks Lemondade Pockets, I don't think we would buy at the end but it is so difficult knowing which site to go with! EasyCar is owned by Stelios as in EasyJet so picked that one as I recognised name. Lingscars made me smile the website is funny but I didn't know how professional the site was or whether a one man or woman band would be as quick at getting the car.

Thanks for the reply!

I wouldn't worry about your concerns with Ling. She is either admired or hated in the trade largely because she does a very good job and takes a lot of business away from the big names. I'm personally not fan of the website either - think its just a bit to jovial. I can't give a personal reference but i would be happy spending my money with her.

Thanks, tbh I was hoping I would get that response, my gut feeling is that she seems genuine. I read a lot of the letters of thanks on the website. My DH is a bit wary but think I can talk him round!! ;)

I use Ling currently. Great service, communication all the way, she does exactly what she says on the tin.

Thanks Albion! I think I am going to go for it. How long did your car take to come?

Don't forget to check http://www.honestjohn.co.uk (http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/) in his This Weeks Deals section & on some of the listed lease companies he features.

The site is as up to the minute correct, with GENUINE prices & offers, as you'll find.

I imagine at the end of the lease you would be given the option to buy but I haven't found the deals that good and to be honest if you are going down the lease route why would you want to. A PCP deal would probably be more suitable.

When my car is up for renewal next year I will certainly check her prices but she hasn't had the best deals yet on my sort of vehicle.

So Ling I'll be looking January next year be ready!....;)

Thanks Albion! I think I am going to go for it. How long did your car take to come?

Took about 5 weeks but it all depends on availability at the time of order. I requested this period because I didn't want a big crossover period waiting for my old lease to expire. I went for Audi A3 SE in black. I wanted white but other half wouldn't hear of it. :o

Thanks for all the help guys, I have placed my request with Ling this morning. Have had about 4 messages from her via the Lingo system already! Very impressed I have to say!!:T

Easy Car offers the chance to buy at the end and Lingscars does not.

You can purchase the car if you want from Ling at the end. Just coming to the end of our current 2 year deal with her and I've a letter from Lombard (the finance people) with a choice of options 1) Order a new car 2) extend current lease 3) Purchase current vehicle or 4) Arrange collection

Drove past her office last week on the way into Newcastle, her big red bus was parked outside. Looked like a proper office park as well rather than being run from a back bedroom.

Ling is the girl who was on Dragon's Den I think? If so didn't the Dragons say that she was doing well enough not to need their help?

& didn't she, pretty much ONLY go on the show, to get the publicity it would generate, at the licience payers expense!!??

Never REALLY having intention of doing a deal with the Dragons!!

It worked, 'cos she's getting even more FREE adverts on here!!

I'm in the same situation - Lombard lease via Ling coming to an end in July. Out of interest, how long before the end of lease did you get the letter and (if you did ask for a quote on a new car from Lombard) how competitive was the quote?

Thanks!
