Hi, help needed please :)

I am looking for as new a car as i can afford. I have been offered a Renault Clio Automatic(has 2b auto) 5 door which is 3 years old for £7000. Just seems a lot of money for 3 years old but the mileage done is only 1699 so its nearly new?

Many thanks for help and advice

Do a search on www.exchangeandmart.co.uk for the same car and see what prices come up.Also www.motorpoint.co.uk and www.cargiant.co.uk

Look on www.autotrader.co.uk for similar spec cars and their prices.

-very low mileage isn't a good thing unless the car has genuinly been stood still for the 3 years. If it's been daily 1 mile trips then it's very bad for the car.
-I wouldn't advise an auto
-price does look too high

Thank you both very much. I'll look into the links and see.

Sadly it has to be an automatic as driver is older and not used to gears.

Many thanks again for help and advice

The BEST place for small automatics, is from Motability sections, within the auction sales of British Car Auctions or Manheim Auctions.

These are as genuine a car as yopu'll find, a few weeks old, in some cicumstances, up to 3 years old.

Mileages, generally, are low or unbelievably (but correct) low.

Clik www.honestjohn.co.uk clik The Backroom clik Discussion & search there, loads info!!

Then if you want to check what is in the sales, the Auctionview link, form HJ's site.

If you want to ask again here, I'll get example prices for you - just let me know the models you'd consider.
