Can anyone tell me which Avon Skin so Soft product works well as a mossie/fly repellant? I hear it was the woodland fresh/soft & fresh but the current catalogue only has the bath oil in this fragrance.

Do any of the sprays work well? If so which ones! My catalogue is being collected tomorrow and was going to get some for summer hols (Europe)

Thanks

C xx

The recommended one is the the green one, I think its called woodland fresh. Its not fantastic as a mozzie repellant imho though.

The product used to be called 'Woodland Fresh' but has had a rebrand, as explained in the website below;) :

Avon Skin So Soft: A Holiday Essential for any outdoor pursuits

This is an exceptionally good insect and 'mozzy' repellent. It has become infamous through word of mouth. We personally sell in excess of 100 bottles a week.
If you like to avoid being bitten whilst gardening or walking, or on your holidays.
Some of my customers even use it on their pets, dogs, cats, horses etc. to keep the flies away

It doesn't work on Mozzys in Mexico nor Cuba, but seemed to work on the Dom Rep. ones LOL!

I used it when we went to Corfu a couple of years ago, my husband was eaten alive by mozzies and I didn't get bitten once

I use it all the time and it has been great. I always use it on my son as he is too young for any DEET based products, along with sensible things, such as covering up his arms and legs at dusk and dawn and mozzie nets for his pushchair.

Thanks, but as I said above, which one? Plus there is no spray of woodland fresh/soft n fresh anymore just the bath oil which is no good to me. Will soft & sensual (pink) or soft & nourish (turquoise) work???

It was shown in Campaign 1 under code number 25742. It is usually £5.00 but looking at Avon on the internet it looks like it's half price at the moment. Don't know if it's an internet offer or not though.

Many thanks lynseydee - I've found it in the book about 40 pages away from the rest of the skin so soft pages!! Will order some straight away!

I'm convinced midgies in parts of Scotland are evolving to be immune to it, certainly didn't work on a walk in Skye in September! Lots of outdoor shops in Scotland sell it.

I find there's something a bit chemically about the scent, don't particularly like it. But then neither do the midgies that haven't yet evolved.

I hope Italian mozzies haven't evolved! I need them to stay away! I usually get eaten to death and hate Deet stuff.
