I have used different brands of hair colour over the years and been quite happy with the effect, not had any problems. My favourite has been L'Oreal Couleur Experte. Recently i decided that I would go to the hairdressers and have the colour done instead. They used Koleston.

I have run out of my own stock of L'Oreal and as I dont live in UK I think it is about time that i used the Koleston, which is easily found here. A branch of Boots might be opening in Bahrain, but although it is stocked there is no sign of any action. I was hoping to get some L'Oreal there but no guarantees.

So my question is how do i go about using Koleston, how do i mix it, does it come with direction (probably does) do I have to measure cc's of mixtures out?

Any advice please.:A

Koleston is not available in normal shops like Boots. It is a professional colour from hairdressers stockists. You can get it in the UK and USA in places like Sally Beauty. To use it you will need a tube of the colour, some developer (which comes in 10, 20 and noramllyu 30 vol, depending on what you want as your end result), plus a bowl and brush. You will have to measure out the colour and the developer.

Sorry I meant that to read i would get the L'Oreal from Boots if i was in UK, but where i live in the Middle East Koleston is readily available in supermarkets, chemists, corner shops. I know the technique and have the brush, bowl, collar to do the colour as i have been doing home colour for a while.

It is the quantities of colour and developer that seem a bit of a puzzle to me at the moment. Because Koleston is so readily avilable and much cheaper (here) than bringing 4 or 5 L'Oreal home I want to use the Koleston.
