Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a good website where I could sell a train ticket?

I bought one for the new year but now have to change my travel plans and come back to London earlier for work and it is cheaper for me to buy a whole new ticket than get this one changed.

I've had a quick look on ebay but I can't see anyone selling tickets on there.

Thanks!

E bay prohibits the sale of train tickets, though occasionally you do see them before they get removed.

You could try www.craigslist.com (http://www.craigslist.com/) or maybe www.gumtree.com (http://www.gumtree.com/) , not to sure on their rules

I don't think you're supposed to sell train tickets unless you are an authorised agent of National Rail. Not that there's much they can do as proof that the holder isn't the purchaser would be almost impossible from the TOC's side.

I second livingthedream's suggestion of Craigslist or Gumtree; you tend to see a fair few on there, so a market definitely exists.
