Advance tickets on the underground... .

I've just bought an advance ticket from the National Express website to go from Edinburgh to Watford. I have to go to Kings Cross, then take the underground to Euston. Does anyone know if my underground journey is covered by the ticket and if so how that works...? My ticket says on it: "NXEC Connections Bookdtrainonly"

It'll have a little + next to the destination if it's good for the undergorund. That said, unless it's pis5ing down then you'll be as quick to walk as take the tube. It's only a few minutes walk - go out of Kings Cross and turn right - past St Pancras, The British Library and the Wellcome Trust offices and Euston is on your right.

Thanks for the map; I'll be carrying around a ridiculously heavy bag so might just go for the easy option: then again by the time I've explored the mazes on the underground, it might be easier to walk! I have half an hour to make my connection which should be okay either way I hope... .


On my ticket there's a + in front of the NXEC and what looks like a little anchor after it!

To be honest I wouldn't bother - it is a five minute walk on the same road on the same side, as McAzrael has said :)

i would imagine a 5 minute walk is less hastle than going on the tube with the bag!

Through tickets of that sort (if properly issued) always include the underground.

If yours is a through ticket (it says Edinburgh to Watford) and has the + sign it's valid on the tube - see the instructions printed on the back of the ticket. (The 'connections' bit is the tube.) But I second those who say it's easier and quicker to walk, even with luggage.

An extra thought, though: why didn't you book the sleeper train? It follows the West Coast route down from Edinburgh so stops at Watford on its way into London...
