I was just looking on the internet at this Berocca stuff that has been advertised on the telly and face value it looks like its packed full of goodness but it is £19.00 for a 30 day supply  Definitely not very MSE! Does anyone take this and is it any good. Does it make you feel better and full of beans. I am definitely lacking in the beans department at the moment! Sluggish and tired - I need a boost (a legal one at least :rotfl: ) Has anyone got any suggestions of a similar product that is a great deal cheaper?

My OH uses it and likes it but £19 seems a lot - you can get 45 tables from Boots for less than £12

Hi. yes we use the effervescent tablets which about £4 for 15 tablets (not worked out if its cheaper this way or not though).
Its best to take them (in a glass of water!) in the morning after breakfast, but not with any other vitamins because you are getting a high boost of essential B vits etc and when hubby took them at night he got a bought of insomnia. - so now he only takes it at night when he has a night on-call duty.
I am trying the Boots alternative - can;t remember what it's called (maybe Energise), but its also in a green tube (the effervescent ones that is), and i took only 1 last Thursday and felt its energising effects until Sunday - as i felt good on Saturday and Sunday - i didn't take any. So far so good - i haven't really felt as tired or ill or sluggish as i did last week before taking it - so maybe its not something i would need everyday (btw too many vits can be toxic). But yes, overall i have felt it to be effective. HTH
