MoreThan Windscreen repair claim

Hi.
Just claimed for a stone chip repair on my focus windscreen, first claim ive ever made in 20 years. All went smoothly but when i asked if it counted as a claim they (Morethan Insurance) said that it does count as a claim although it doesn't affect my no claims bonus.This concerns me as i change insurance companies every other year and am concerned i will have to say i have claimed now. Anyone got experience of this.?

I had to have my entire windscreen replaced, so had to cough up the £70 excess. It didn't affect my NCB, but I do have to mention it when applying for insurance. It didn't affect my quote or put my insurance up though.

The same happens if someone crashes into you, and even though it's not your fault and doesn't affect your NCB, it does go on your record as an incident. It also didn't seem to affect my insurance quote.
