The National Trust
Our partners at The National Trust are helping us to get the nation making snakes by hosting snake-making workshops during half term week at nine of their properties. If you're stuck for things to do with the kids this half-term then why not take them to one of the supervised workshops where they'll spend some time creating their very own snake to take home and start saving energy and money!

This has also been posted on the competitions board so if you think you might have registered already, check here:

Edit: I can't see where it says 1st 1,000 only - I thought it was a competition where 1,000 winners are drawn...?

I can't see where it says 1st 1,000 only - I thought it was a competition where 1,000 winners are drawn...?

The first clicky in the original post, that begins 'system traq it' has a circle lower down that states the first 1000 to register will get a make a snake kit.

The second clicky that begins 'snakes.together' does not say this, and just implies 1000 are to be won in a competition.

Maybe there are 2000 kits - 1000 for the first registrants and 1000 for the comp?

I haven't checked out the link but this brought back memories. My mum is really thrifty, a real mend 'n' makedo kinda girl. She used to use an old stocking stuffed with newspaper tied at the end to keep out the draft from the back door!

I got my FREE Make-a-snake in the Post today - Looks good, not opened it yet as its going in the Christmas Stocking but it appears to be plain white with a Red Tounge, not sure if there are any other bits included but can always Jazz it up with a bit of imagination and the contents of the Sewing Box!!

Thanks OP
