Crewe to Hartlepool - can someone help!

I am travelling to hartlepool to crewe either on monday (after 3pm) or tuesday (anytime) after reading some of the threads I found that not many people recommend thetrainline.com. I have never used any other company. So, with a yp rail card what is the cheapest people can find.

You could try http://www.virgintrains.co.uk/default.aspx (I believe you have to register to use the site.)
However without entering dates for the return journey you can only specify an open return or single fare and I am sure specifying the return date and time would allow the best value fare to be determined. I assume your planned date for outward journey is either 19th or 20th December.

thetrainline.com also requires registration. I have no experience of either service so cannot personally recommend. Good luck on your fare hunting.
