I've managed to get a serial number but cannot register yet. The email says the code will be valid till the end of the month so I've a few more days to keep trying - hope the server recovers in time.

Quote from Website::
Main Website Temporarily Offline
Due to the high volume of traffic for the Lame Duck Challenge Free Offer, we have temporarily disabled the CodeWeavers main website.
We apologize for this inconvenience. We still love Digg, even if our server disagrees. ;-)
Go to http://down.codeweavers.com/ (codeweavers.com (http://www.codeweavers.com) should auto redirect but due to high amounts of visitors youll probably have more luck with this link)

to find WINE in Linux (specifically Ubuntu, Suse, Fedora or Mandrake), go into System > preferences > synaptic package manager, then search for WINE and highlight it and click ok, it will download it and away you go!
