CheersIf you are thinking of applying your brains to losing weight the Low Carb, Atkins (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1011759) thread has science on it's side. I lost nearly 4stone over 6 months on Dr Dalhqvist's plan (http://blogg.passagen.se/dahlqvistannika/?anchor=my_lowcarb_dietary_programe_in) and as it doesn't involve counting carbs calories or spending money on special foods or meetings it was ideal for me.

It helps to understand the science behind the plan and Gary Taubes explains that here (http://webcast.berkeley.edu/event_details.php?webcastid=21216) but from time to time I drop into the thread the latest low caarb science as it comes in. The idea that Atkins is unsafe has been totally refuted. The evidence now is that risk markers for heart disease, diabetes and cancer all drop as you control insulin.

If you have some time to invest in understanding to process leading to weight gain then you are better able to reverse that process. This Jimmy Moore interview and the following one, is one of many that helps you understand what went wrong (http://www.thelivinlowcarbshow.com/dr-steven-gundry-part-1-episode-179/)
