i need to hire a van to move some bulky items .
is there a website that shows comparison of the storage area ...suppose in "cubic feet" or whatever ?
i'm sure a ford transit is too big but i have no idea about other options.
i'm looking for "smaller van but with big space" !

www.whatvan.co.uk has some info, or check on the makers websites.
Bare in mind that the way things are measured for volume, won't take into account what YOU want to fit in, necesseraliy!!
Best go for the how wide/deep/tall it is & guestimate the size of whatever your moving.

and another importantnt thing to look for is straight sides for the van (Renault Master type thing) and also front whell drive vans will have a lower load height which will save you having to lift things to high when you are loading.
Load lashing points in the rear are handy but not the be all and end all.

p.s. if you're going long distance the extra hire charge for a turbo diesel over non-turbo or petrol is well worth it
Are you considering estate cars as well? Finding dimensions of various different models of cars on the web can be tricky, since most reviewers tend to write about design aesthetics and fuel economy rather than payload. If it's absolutely essential that the van you rent is big enough, I'd suggest you measure up the things you want to move, and go to a car or van showroom as though pretending to be interested in buying that particular van, and measure it up there too. Your nearest car showroom is likely to be a lot nearer you than the rental depot you're intending to hire from.
