I suffer with an oily forehead. I have used a variety of different cleansers and moisturisers and usually by mid morning, lunchtime at the latest, I end up with a shine on my forehead again. How do I work out whether it's the cleanser or the moisturiser causing this? Sorry to ask such a dumb question if the answer is obvious.

I have recently seen my GP and a consultant dermatologist about exactly the same complaint.
Apparently oily skin isn't caused by anything we put onto our skin, its caused by hormones! I was told that there isn't alot can be done about it.
My forehead only started being oily in the last few months and it really really bugs me.
Only help I found was to use wipes for oily skin then put moisturiser on.

Hi Shelly
I was wondering whether the cleanser I am using at the moment was the problem as it doesn't specifically say for oily skin. I am using wipes at night as I have started suffering with dry patches on one of my eyelids which only started about halfway through using this cleanser so thought using something different at night might help, which it has a bit.
I do have a variety of cleansers which I have purchased over the years so hopefully I have at least one that will suit my skin :rotfl:
Like you say, it is frustrating especially when you first cleanse and moisturise and your skin looks quite good for it to look like an oil slick a couple of hours later.
