Hopefully this posting will avoid others being charged inflated prices disguised as 'savings'. Having been lured in with the claim “giving you access to the cheapest ferry prices on the internet”, I recently booked a crossing from Lymington to IOW. On arrival at the Wightlink check-in desk, I was asked why I had booked through Ferrysavers when I could have booked the same crossing using Wightlink’s own website at some 40-50% lower cost.
I emailed Ferrysavers telling them about this and pointing out they are in breach of The British Code of Advertising, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing. This states that all market communications should be legal, decent, honest and truthful. No response since July!
