Corioliss V GHDs

I love my GHDs but my hair doesn't stay straight for long.

It looked really sleek and straight when I did it the other day but 10 mins outside and the words dragged, hedge and backwards spring to mind :eek:

I thought GHDs were the best so I was surprised when my friend told me about some new straighteners, Corioliss C2 which are supposed to be even better. I might save if I know they are any good, has any one used these?

Not used them but desperately need something seriously strong to flatten my 'white afro'.

Will be googling for those now, thanks. There are a set my wedding hairdresser used, and they went through my hair like a hot knife through butter - I'm sure it was a babyliss brand and I've never seen such a result on my massive mane before, but never seen the straighteners since either :d

i'd try putting some kind of finishing product after styling. my hair is very frizzy but i tend to put a little wax on before leaving the house so that any moisture in the air doesn't immediately undo all the hard work. it'd be much cheaper to try a few products than buy new straighteners - might be worth asking your hairdresser as they're good on things like that. you might need to buy something from a salon so it'd be more pricey than boots, but should help a lot.

What stuff stops the frizz tho?

I tend to find that if I use products it feels horrible, and that's not right really! Ideally if I used a product to tame it, I think it should feel nice too. It's horrible sat there with hair looking good but horrible to 'wear'. It's like living the eighties all over :):)

small bits of wax work for me - not a lot, just enough to keep it in check. one hairdresser i've been to put on some finishing oil of some sort which didn't make it go nasty, but it lasted better in the rain. i don't know what it was called or who made it, but i think asking a hairdresser for the best product is well worth a try before buying expensive straighteners....

When I lived in the North East, my hair dresser was fantastic and I've been trying to remember the name of the product I used then. I'm sure it was Redken Water Wax. Gonna go look it up now and see if I can get some :D
