Also good for older ones: nasty scalds can happen at any age, so might be worth thinking about for less 'together' adults.

Does it also show if the water's very cold? Getting the balance right in our house is very tricky!

Coudl this be a premium line number?

09-03-2004, 4:48 PM
Bapp - phone rate won't be a problem, as 0870 are, I believe, national rate numbers. Only 09xxx are charged at premium rate. So while not totally free, it's still only costing the price of your average national rate call (some 7p per minute daytime).

Off to try it myself now. Thanks to Mancunian.

Very useful product for people who have neuropathy, not useful for those who are colour blind.

I agree, I have neuropathy and find it hard to judge with a hand or foot. Has anyone received one of these yet?

I think I'll phone up for one tomorrow.

Forgive my ignorance - neuropaphy? I hope no one was offended by me saying it was for children.

Brill,

Didn't need order/promtional code or anything - in fact the operator asked me how many plugs I'd like - Great tip!

Thanks,
Gail ;D

ThriftyPhil, I have neuropathy and I got mine. I used it and it works fine so long as you don't cover the plug by putting too many bubbles in the bath!!!!

:o

You can order up to 100 free.

Or you can go to: http://www.ecdti.co.uk/CGIBIN/PRIAMLNK.CGI?CNO=1&MP=GINT00&WHAT=Search

If that doesn't work go to: http://www.dti.gov.uk/publications/ and click on search.

In the URN field (second one down) type in: 02/ST21

Thanks for this

My wife is unable to sense temperatures. She says she gets a tingling sensation but can't tell if it's hot or cold so this will be useful for her.

Mine arrived yesterday but I could only order one.

Think they'd make good party favours for my 3 kids birthday parties (am I getting tight?) but couldn't see a way of ordering multiples. !???

EDIT: Just been back to the site and it says 'discontinued' so I guess I'm too late :'(

If anyone has a spare 30 I'd be grateful ;)

Boo - hoo - :'(

had a phone call from them today to say that they have ran out of plugs and won't be getting any more in stock - if anyone ordered the 100 and now only needs 50, please let me know

seems like my ideas gone down the plug hole

I think that you might find that this offer has now ended. Certainly, the code on DTI in no longer found.

Hi,

N.

Don't know of anywhere that are giving these away free at the minute. Some local SureStart centres sell these and other safety equipment at quite cheap rates.

I've got a spare one here if you want that one? Never been used, as I sent off for two. Send me a private message (pm) if you want it and I'll post it on to you. :)

I'll change the heading for this so everyone knows this offer's now closed.
