Sky digital residential subscribers who are not existing FilmFour subscribers can bag a month's worth of FilmFour for free. Just fill out the form (http://filmfour.ed4.net/enroll/c4/signup.cfm), but don't forget to cancel after the month's up.
T&CS: Offer closes 30th November 2005. You'll receive FilmFour free for 30 days from the date you take up the offer. After the 30-day period, Sky digital will charge you at its standard rate for FilmFour (currently £7 per month) unless you have informed Sky digital that you do not want to receive FilmFour after the free 30-day period.

I did the first part of the sign up but the freephone number for the ''More Details'' was a problem as there were not enough staff to answer the call TWICE. Do not go to Sky as they seem to suggest. Keep waiting until they tell you to ring again

Be careful with this I took it out last year and you cannot cancel until the day your 30 days are up and then only through Sky's own number not the 0800 number If you forget to do it that day you are charged and if you do it on the day I waited over an hour on the phone trying to cancel

I assume from comments that there are additional Terms & Conditions after you have signed up on the first page. Is this first page binding? If all I have to do to inform Sky Digital that I wish to cancel surely I could do this by email?

Sky never make it easy to cancel anything No you won't be able to cancel by email, you have to phone to switch it on and phone back to cancel and if its anything like last year they took the money upfront and refunded when you cancelled.

Followed the instructions and called the freephone number. Only for FilmFour to put me through to customer services who had no idea of the offer. What a waste of 20 minutes. Thanks for the tip but I'm afraid Sky's pathetic customer service has made me mad yet again.

Well I actually posted this up in the discount codes 30 September - its not difficult to cancel - don't accept no for an answer - they cannot insist you keep it for the full 30 days...Mark

How To Get Free Upgrades On Your Sky Package If You Have Had Sky For Over I Year:
1. Already On Full Package - Phone Up And Make Up A Story About Financial Problems Coming Up To Xmas And Want To Cancel Sky
2. On The Basic Package But Want More For Free - Call Up And Again Say You Want To Cancel Sky All Together - Story This Time - Not Enough Choice - Bored With Channels
For Both Off The Above You Get Passed To Different Representatives Were You Have To Confirm That You Want To Cancel - Until Eventually You Get To The Decision Maker
They Will Offer You Either
1. Let You Have Full Package Half Price For 3 Months
Or
2. Give You The Upgrade To The Full Package For Half Price For 3 Months
I Am On The Basic Package And Do This Every Year To Get The Movies / Sport Over Xmas For No Extra Cost
You Do Have To Stick To Your Guns Until You Get To The One Who Makes The Offers - Works Every Time
I think there's already some postings regarding How to Blag Sky. However, they don't always play ball and give you 1/2 price offers. I'm currently on Sky World for £31.00 and have been for about 5 months now. My current offer ends in Feb!
Try D/Dan's way, but be careful as they may not offer the offer!

Thanks for this one !
I have just signed up with no problems at all. Went straight through to Film Four desk, straight through to Sky desk and activated in just 4 mins. I asked exactly as to when we should cancel this one if I did not like the channel, she said, exactly 30 days after. ie, booked on 29/11 cancel on 29/12. She said it did not really matter a couple of days after the 30 day trial as Sky customers are billed a month in arrears.
However I will cancel on the 29/12, just to make sure.
Happy Viewing.....

Once you've completed the signup they send you an email containing a reference number to quote when you ring the freephone number.
The email I received said that the offer closes 31 December, and runs 30 days from the day you decide to start the free trial, so I guess there's no need to start it immediately.
The signup page still says 30/11/05 as the end date though. So if you're unsure whether to bother, at least complete the signup to get the email with the code - there's nothing on that that commits you to take up the offer.
