I thought I'd produce this guide to help the Freebies Board run a bit more smoothly. :)

Firstly, welcome to all newbies. :j Have a look HERE (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=10) for some useful info about using the chat forums in general.

Want to post a new Freebie?
First, check whether it has already been posted by using the SITE'S SEARCH FACILITY (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=51957). Duplicate posts may be merged with earlier threads on the board to avoid too much repetition.

Please report any abusive/illegal/offensive material (including referral links posted outside the Referrers Board) to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com (abuse@moneysavingexpert.com). This includes communications both on the public forum and in personal messages (pm’s).

Hi Kelouba.

Welcome to the site. :)

Just thought I'd also point out that links aren't allowed in signatures either (other than by prior arrangement with the Abuse team). :o

hi i was just thinking wouldnt it be a good idea to clear out alot of the old threads?? there are 211 pages of threads going back to the year 2004, most of those are seriously old and out of date so can someone not delete all the old pages back to say august/september 2006???? that way it gives us alot more room...

just a thought...out with the old in with the new lol...

I am very new and posted athread on the Freebie Forum on 16/03/2007 - but it has disappeared and I have spent over 1 hour trying to find it. Search tools do not bring up my post so wondering if it has been moved. How on earth to I find out if anyone has responded please?

I think that's it (no replies though, sorry!) - all I did was look up your posts, and it was the first post you had made.

Either I guess, the forum posts are handy, but if MSE Martin has posted about it, it will make it look more legit

Hi,

I am new on the board so Hi everyone!
I think this site - and this board is great! Thanks all, for making it so!

I have a Q, if someone can help, please. To get some of the freebies mentioned on this site/board, you have to register on the company websites and give them personal information, like my full name, address, date of birth ... I would like to know is it really safe to do that?? I always feel reluctant to do this, in spite of the tempting freebies!

Thanks! :-)

i think its just bumping up the boards. getting more views or something like that :) in some websites the more posts your thread has it stays at the top of the list. so then more people look at it. i think lol.
