I am in Leighton Buzzard and for the past year I have used the railway station car park after 4pm for free. (Operated by Midland Mainline)

However, They have removed the barriers and made it pay and display. Absolutly nowhere on the machiones or signs at the entrance does it mention times and I cannot remember the wording on the old signs.

Does anyone know if it is still free after 4pm? Its because my daughters gym club is opposite and starts at 4.15! Parking is a nightmare so this was the ideal solution for a quick drop off and pick up.

It is 6 pounds a day or 3 pounds on a Sunday. I have tried the Midlanmds mainline website and it just goes on about future improvements, not prices and timetables.

Doesn't look like there's any free parking after 4pm:

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations/lbz/details.html
Charges £6.00 (Sunday/Bank Holiday £3.00) daily, £25.00 weekly, £96.00 monthly, £186.00 three-monthly, £705.00 annually

Unless you have an electric car:p

Although it's a bit academic now free parking was only ever for rail users - you weren't really entitled to use the car park.
