Hi there, has anyone experience of getting flashed by a fixed speed camera in France?
I was driving from Spain, unexpectedly because daughter had chickenpox so couldnt fly.
I was in my own car not a hire car.

Has anyone received a fixed penalty through the post from one of these cameras?

Was it a fine and points?

I know i was in the wrong but family had flown home and i just wanted to get the 1400 miles back as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

from watching a program recently i understand you can only get on the spot fines thay dont chase you over here but if you go back to france thay could get you in future.im sure someone will correct me if im wrong.

There is nothing they can do. They will not bother with it.

i don't think they would be able to access your details, although i'm sure this will change if it becomes financially viable across eu states.

I've googled but can't find the article.

I thought the DVLA would provide the details but not the opposite way round, so in France they can get the details from DVLA but the French won't give the scamera partnership their drivers details.
