bladder instillation

i'm having my first treatment of bladder instillation tomorrow and havent been told much about it except that the nurse has said she doesn't want me to go into work after the first treatment as she wants me to stay in the hospital for a while to check how i react to the treatment.
has anyone had this done?
what can i expect?
