any suggestions for a good brand 10 /11mm brake pipe spanner?
alot of sets have the 11mm missing or are really short on the small sizes
looking for good quality..prob not snap on prices though

Surely a brake spanner will not break the bank (no pun intended). Good quality tools are hard to come by, I seem to break spanners with great regularity, probably becuase I have never bought snap on.

Halfords have Laser branded ones. I mentioned them in the trade card thread. I think they're about £3.19 trade card price, see http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_16 7767_langId_-1_CarSelectorCatalogId__varient__categoryId_106186 _crumb_33958-76859-90872_parentcategoryrn_90872
I'm no expert on tools but the metal is very thick, and it looks well polished, and when I put it on the nuts it only just fit suggesting a low likelihood of rounding the nuts off.

Halfords tools are extremely good quality and have a lifetime warranty. You'll not get much better without spending a lot more.

I have loads of Halfords branded tools, they are pretty good and are definitely good enough for the average DIY user.

Just make sure that you buy the Halfords Professional stuff, the rest doesn't have the lifetime warranty.
@OP - keep an eye out for second hand ones from a known good manufacturer on ebay, like Snap-On, Blue-Point (industrial version of Snap-On), Beta, Britool etc.

hazet stuff is ok,ive got one hazet spanner,i know ford use these in thier spanish factory.:D
Just go to a local tool shop, should have brands like laser, draper, teng, all of these are good makes and do a wide range of tools
There's also silverline, cheap make, low prices. Some tools are absolute cr*p but some are not too bad. Pick tem up and have a feel. Silverline also offer a guarantee, think it's lifetime on most tools

I've always used Meole grips because old pipe nuts are so tight that they round off even with brake spanners

well i did end using mole grips as the spanner i own now isnt a good enough fit...seems a shame to ruin fittings with mole grips though

Get some new ones :) http://www.jhmbuttco.com/acatalog/Shop_Brake_Pipe_Fittings_130.html is the cheapest place I have found for a place on the net.
